Last week saw YMTDC host it's first international guest speakers courtesy of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr.G.E.Ghali,DDS,MD,FACS (Left) and Dr.K.F.Moos, Honorary Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Glasgow University (Right) visited the institution as part of their ongoing lecture - series tour of India. They were met with a traditional welcome and an amazing blend of artwork by our very own Vishal Rathod.
The rangoli he drew really impressed everyone and our visitors' cameras were flashing capturing this bit of India. Shortly thereafter, a packed auditorium witnessed a discussion on Distraction Osteogenesis & Orthognathic surgery by Dr. Ghali followed by a talk on Craniofacial Implantology by Dr. Moos. Difficult as these topics may seem, our speakers broke them down to the simplest possible terms, holding their audiences to rapt attention in the 2 hour - long interaction. Kudos to Dr. Vasant Shewale, HoD, Dept. of OMFS for facilitating such a informative and thought-provoking session. YMTDC looks forward to more multidisciplinary Continuing Dental Education programmes in the future.
